St Clare of Assisi Men’s Club Minutes, March 5, 2012
56 Members, 4 officers, 2 Priests
Called to order – 7:37pm
Opening prayer led by Father Theby and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
Minutes from the February 2012 meeting read – motion to accept 1^st Bill Cannon, 2^nd and carried
Treasury report read – ins and outs. We still have some - $10 some odd thousand – motion to accept 1^st Bill Deemer, Second Tim Hacker – motion carried

OLD BUSINESS

• Thanks for helping at Luke 18
• Protecting God’s Children – Msgr Callahan regaled us with all the ins and outs – Background checks – SSN concerns – how to recognize problems in others – but mostly how to keep our kids safe – Prez Henty then announced the things you cannot do without it – Everything – Oktoberfest, all volunteers, this very meeting - Also consider taking your wife
• Golf Tourney – So far we have 6 teams, 4-5 Hole Sponsors. - We are in need of clean-up volunteers and cooks

NEW BUSINESS

• Mulch spreading – March 31^st – 8.30 am
• School Picnic – May 25^th – Start around 9am – Bluebird park
• Rummage Sale – June 2nd
• Cornbeef and Cabbage - March 17^th – there will be Irish Dancing - $5 kids $10 Adults.
• Bill Cannon spoke with passion about the Mens CHRP retreat – they need 12 men like yourselves.
• Petition to our Senators about the contraceptive drug mandate – please sign.
• Don Seiler spoke about our over 30 softball league – starts Mondays in April in Chesterfield Valley – please sign up
• Another gentle reminder to get those dues paid, remember to check the Men’s Club website.
