I am happy to be in my 17th year of teaching and have taught in both public and private Catholic schools. I earned my B.S. Degree at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, double majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology. I also have my Masters Degree in Reading Education from Towson University. I hold certifications to teach grades 1-6 Elementary Education and grades K-12 Reading Education. Most of my teaching career has been spent teaching 3rd grade. I love the blossoming independence that grows more and more each day throughout this very important transitional year from lower to upper elementary. Reading is my passion when it comes to educating students. If students cannot read, they will struggle in almost every other area in the classroom. My goal is to have children fall in love with reading during their year in third grade as they begin to make the transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn".

Our role, as parents and educators, is to form students’ minds and souls to seek and know the truth and beauty of our Catholic faith tradition. My goal is to promote students’ lifelong faith formation, values, and spiritual development. I view each child as a gift with unique talents, interests and personal goals. I strive to foster a warm, welcoming classroom climate for the students and their families through open communication and positivity. My classroom promotes lifelong learning skills through formal and informal learning experiences. Every classroom experience is an opportunity for growth for the students, educators, and parents. I am excited that this is my 8th year of teaching. I have a BA in Sociology and a Master of Education from Boston College.
