Called to order – 7:42pm
Opening prayer was led by Deacon Whitson
Pledge of Allegiance
Minutes from the November 2011 meeting read – motion to accept 1st Don Benjamin, 2nd and carried.
Treasury report read – Special thanks to Oktoberfest sponsorship committee. We were able to increase fundage around $9 thousand. FYI we did about $2 thousand in credit card sales. And about $4,200 went to 50/50 winner – motion to accept 1st Bill Cannon, Second Bill Durbin – motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Lou Pavia informed the club that care packages for the troops went out that day. The cards and items were great. He thanked the group for their support, and the group returns that thanks to Lou.
Christmas party is corrected to Wednesday December 7th at the Alibi. Bring cash for 50/50 and door prizes. Bring unwrapped toy for the kiddos.
Pig Roast – found a swine at a discounted price – please see event coordinator (Mr Henty) about details and volunteer opportunities. Event will take place January 27th starting at 4pm.
Entertainment books are still on sale for $30. Group gets $6.
NEW BUSINESS
Breakfast with Santa is this Sunday December 11 starting with the 6:30 mass.
Teacher Breakfast – Jack would like to cater again for Lou Pavia Jr – to be the last Friday before Christmas break.
Jack MacMurry wants to make this sports trivia fundraiser happen. He can make it happen!
Parkway stated that it is high time the Men’s Club procure its own flag if possible.
Another gentle reminder to get those dues paid, remember to check the Men’s Club website, and stop calling the Pres. direct.
RCIA gave the club a thank you for the welcoming luncheon.
New Members – NONE.
The next men’s club meeting will be January 2, 2012.
No December Poker nite – January will have 2 – the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.
50/50 of $135 was won by Bill McManus – Bob Kockler won Rico Red – and Steve Madras walked away with a fancy notebook.
Special prayer intentions were heard and Bill led the closing prayer.
