St Clare of Assisi Men’s Club Minutes, April 2, 2012
46 Members, 3 officers, 1 Priest
Called to order – 7:47pm
Opening prayer led by Bill Cannon and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
Minutes from the March 2012 meeting read – motion to accept 1st Bill Cannon, 2nd Curt Meyer and carried
Treasury report read – ins (about 600) and outs (about 2,200). We still have some - $8 some odd thousand with money to come from fish fry beer– motion to accept 1st Ed Kertz, Second quite many – motion carried

OLD BUSINESS

• Protecting God’s Children – 7 went though it last month – we will look into a Mens Club outing – you can go online to do your own background check
• Golf Tourney – So far we have 8 teams- that hurts, 13 Sponsors. - We are in need of set up -clean-up volunteers and cooks – someone to run putting contest – need a pickup truck – some great ideas were heard about how to better advertise this thing
• School picnic is still May 25th – Bluebird – Start around 9am – I have sign up sheet with about 14 names
• CHRP was awesome

NEW BUSINESS

• Keep Jerry Venneman in your prayers as he has lost part of his thumb – card going around
• Oktoberfest planning meeting is in the works believe it or not. We need key committee members – Inside carnival (taken by John Droege) – I believe Russ Klingel sorta volunteered for setup/take down chair - Next meeting April 19th 7pm St Clare room
• Mens Club mass to be April 29th 8am – Lou Pavia Sr asks do we want to provide coffee and doughnuts – 1st, 2nd, carried – yes we want it
• Vice President nominations – Jim Christman, Curt Meyer - Treasurer and Secretary are lucky enough to keep their jobs
• Phil Fick nominations - Mike Pool, Russ Kligel, Tim Hacker, Jim Bannes – sorry if I missed any
• Plaque for Dennis Fessler installed and to be dedicated at the May Meeting 6:30 ceremony followed by dinner and then the meeting – Somebody please remember to invited Fr Callahan
• Curt Meyer could use hand in gardens behind school

50/50 $125 was won by Paul Kullenberg
A beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday was sung to Fr. Theby
Special prayer intentions were heard and Paul led the closing prayer.
